Marcus Ullmann, tenor

Marcus Ullmann began his singing career with the Dresden Kreuzchor when he was nine. In 1986 he enrolled as a student of Hartmut Zabel at the Dresden Music Academy. His teachers have also included Theo Adam, Walter Moore, Elisabeth Schwarzkopf and Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, whose Lied class he attended in 1992-93. Marcus Ullmann has sung roles in major European and US opera house productions and appeared at concerts in various parts of Europe. He has worked with Christian Kluttig, Carlos Kalmar, Leopold Hager, among others.
