Complete description

"Karita Live!" was recorded live on 2 September 2000 at the Helsinki Arena in front of an audience of 11,000 people. On the occasion of her 40th birthday, the Finnish star soprano Karita Mattila gave a glorious "monster concert," exhibiting a complete warehouse of repertoire, styles and moods, most of which is presented on this CD. Jukka-Pekka Saraste conducted the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra.
