ICMA Award for Lars Vogt's Janácek album (19.11.2021)

Lars Vogt's Janácek piano solo album (ODE 1382-2) is winner of the International Classical Music Awards (ICMA) 2022 in the category of best solo instrumental recording.

The jury, consisting of members of the classical media from 17 different countries, writes:

"In this Janáček programme, Lars Vogt expresses the intimacy of the music very sensitively. This subtle atmosphere is created because Vogt, like the great Ivan Moravec before him, is a singer at the piano, combining tension with naturalness, and turns accents into nuanced, music-inherent developments, unobtrusive throughout in the character of an improvisational reflection."

Lars Vogt's same solo album also won the German OPUS Klassik award.
